MESA – Verbesserung des europäischen Zugangs zum Weltraum


Im nächsten Jahrzehnt braucht Europa einen Ersatz für die Internationale Raumstation. Eine Umgebung, in der weiterhin Nutzlasten der Mikrogravitation und den extremen Weltraumumgebungen ausgesetzt werden können. Levity Space System hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt einen häufigen und erschwinglichen Zugang zum Weltraum für öffentliche und private Institutionen zu ermöglichen. Mit MESA, der ersten modularen und stapelbaren Satellitenstruktur in Europa, werden Startmöglichkeiten für Mikrosatelliten, In-Orbit-Demonstrationen und die Unterbringung von Experimenten ermöglicht. MESA wird als sekundäre Nutzlast zwischen der Oberstufe und der primären Nutzlast auf der Trägerrakete VEGA-C+ und -E von Arianespace gestartet.
